Alpine Squill (Scilla bifolia)

Though it is not one of the most well-known flowering plant on the market, it certainly is one of the prettiest and most versatile. Blooming from early to mid season, as one of the earliest bloomers in spring, award-winning Alpine Squill produces up to 3-5 stems per bulb. Each slender stem carries star-shaped, gentian-blue blooms that early pollinators adore. A reliable naturalizer, it creates a low carpet of color at the front of borders or under deciduous trees and shrubs.
